A while ago, the White House released their Honey Ale and Honey Porter beer recipes.
We decided to try out the Honey Porter, though we had to make a few (minor) substitutions in the ingredients, as Belmont Brewing Supply didn’t have everything on the list.
Our batch has finally been ready for tasting, and I have to say that this is a darn good recipe. When chilled, our batch tends to not have much head, though when opened while at room temperature this is not an issue. So we have been drinking it at room temperature and will try adding more priming sugar to the mix before bottling next time, to see if that makes a difference in the carbonation.
